I wasn’t sure if my feet would fit the narrow width, but it fits perfectly! I like the style too, with a pair of jeans and I’m good to go!

This shoe was hazardous. I own dozens of birkenstocks with my current fav arizona for fit and versatility and I own both zermott and andermatt in felt. I bought suede zermott because I am going to wet country and wanted a comfortable close toed shoe. Fit is similar to all previous but the sole is very grippy. Hazardously so. shoe caught on a very low pile carpet and I flew full face down on the ground, hitting my newly replaced knee and now am out for at least a few days with terrible pain and a very large hematoma. I may have to cancel a trip to a memorial where I was supposed to do a eulogy, so this is more than just an inconvenience. This “grippy” sole is not the usual birkenstock sole, NEEDS to be emphasized as different in all descriptions, and anyone with mobility issues should carefully consider purchasing a shoe that can literally glue you to the ground if you shuffle at all. NOT A GOOD SHOE FOR MANY SENIORS

Excellent shoes!! Very high quality and comfortable. Runs about a half size small for me. I bought the 11-111/2 and I mostly wear a 12 in most shoes. These fit perfect!!

These are the most comfortable Birkenstocks and I have a lot of them! These run just a tad roomier than the Boston’s or at least for me they do. Very roomy and comfortable for wide feet and or problem toes. They are not the most attractive as they have a duck foot look, but who cares when there is so much comfort. The suede is nice and thick but very soft. Now we need more colors so we can buy more.

The fit is awesome. My feet look like they are wearing peasant boats. I am going to keep them. Wear them. Take the good natured ribbing from teenagers (I am a teacher). My self esteem may never recover. At least my feet will be comfortable.

I’m a size 9; the 9-9.5 fits perfectly. Worn without socks; loose enough for comfort, easy walking and air flow. Also fits well with a thinner pair of socks. The fit allowed me to wear them all day right away; no need to break these in. Great shoe for any weather but snow. Well made. Appropriate for a wide age range, gender neutral and goes well with a variety of casual styles.

This is my first pair of Birkenstocks in this style, and they are my new favorites. The size 38s fit exactly like my other (cork soled) size 38s.

For reference, I am female with wide feet. 🙁 However, The Zappos ordering page for this unisex shoe is misleading. It asks you to select your width as if it is a man’s shoe (width option only says, “select men’s width,” even if you are ordering a woman’s size). I wasn’t sure about that so I went to the actual Birkenstocks site, and under it’s “fitting guide” it says that a men’s “regular” width is the American width equivalent of a D-EE (which is big). I have wide feet but not men’s D-EE wide. So I ordered a woman’s narrow in this slipper. No go. So ignore the “men’s width” part if you are female. Zappos, you should remove the word “men’s” under the width selection part and just have it read, “select width” to eliminate this confusion and prevent unnecessary returns.

I wasn’t sure about the light grey color when I ordered these, but I like it. It’s a neutral color. I wore these all day out and they were traditionally comfy like I’d expect from Birkenstock.

I didn’t want to even like these…but I love them!!! They were on my daughter’s Christmas list & I reluctantly ordered them. I thought they were clunky and anti-style! To my surprise, they were cute! So cute, I told my daughter I could just keep them & buy her something else. But no….she loved them! I was concerned about the sizing since they only had narrow available, her & I are a size 7 and these fit perfectly! These shoes will take you anywhere you need to go! My daughter even wore them in the snow. I ended up buying my own pair. My husband had me order him a pair too! We may look like a weird Birkenstock shoe cult if we go out together but I don’t care! They are cute, comfy & I’ve been wearing them to work a couple times a week! I rarely buy things that aren’t on sale but these are totally worth it!

After falling in love with the Rose shearling-lined wool Zermatt slippers, I bought these Midnight colored (VERY dark navy blue) suede Zermatt in a 39 narrow, and they were awesome right out of the box, no break-in required. The footbeds feel softer than the usual non-soft footbed, so that’s a plus for me.
[However, the same shoes in the Stone Coin color felt awful, the footbeds have a weird hump behind the grip bars in the metatarsal area. Even if the footbeds were okay, the top of one of the shoes, which are unlined suede, is buckled/bent downward, so I know it would’ve caused a blister as well as retained that warped look because my feet aren’t wide enough to fill/stretch it out.]

I love my Zermatt because I have wide feet. Others may disagree but I find them stylish enough to wear out for dinner when it’s business casual. They are slightly heavy because they’re suede. They’re also super convenient to wear on road trips because I can easily slip my feet out when they need a break. The greige color also works well with most outfits which makes it perfect for traveling and only packing two shoes. I’ve had these since Dec 2022 and they’re holding up well. I wore them to Bali and on weekend outings. I’ve always consistently been a size 39 in Birkenstocks and my feet length is 9.65 inches.

Some of these bad reviews make no sense to me… tripping and falling and blaming the shoe, then someone else ordering the wrong size because they can’t read. These are great comfy shoes.
