Jorge –
The fit was just as I was expecting (this is my 2nd pair of Birkenstocks). I was looking for something more water resistant than my last pair and this seems to fit the bill so far. As far as the fit they fit terrific, need to walk around for a while to break them in in order to get them shaped to my feet, but I expect they’ll be as comfortable as my first pair.
Alvin –
superior in all expectations

These have been in rotation with my Birkenstock Arizona and Milano sandals. I have wide flat feet and Birkenstocks are the best to combat my foot pain. The Tatacoas are great for rainy days or walking on natural trails. Like all Birkenstock shoes, once you break them in they are so comfortable you forget you have them on. I’ll be getting the two strap model as soon as they are back in stock.

Loved the quality overall. I wear Burkenstocks. I need the narrow width and it’s not available in this sandal. Very disappointing!
William –
The fit did not suit me, but I have a very narrow foot and these were way too wide for me. They were also longer than I felt they should be.

Was going to be a replacement for my worn out Eccos. The so called “arch support” pushed my toes to the side resulting in my small toe contacting the outside rims of the footbed. Going back to Eccos.
Ellie –
Bought these for my husband and he loved them. Then the strap buckle broke. He kept wearing them with the strap tucked in, then the other buckle broke. For a $200 pair of sandals these things should last longer than a month and a half. My last pair of Birkenstocks lasted over five years. Either he got a defective pair or the quality has gone way down. Can’t find a way to contact anyone about it. Not happy.
Kevin –
Fit and size seems to be good. I found the straps to be somewhat sharp and thus uncomfortable on the skin around my ankles and across my toes.
Tyler –
The rivets that attach the buckles to the straps are not stainless, rusted and failed way before the rest of the sandal showed any wear at all…design flaw Birkenstock told me to go scratch!

Great sandal. What more can you expect from Birkenstock.

I like these. Just not sure I love these. It is a different reach for Birkenstock. Will have to see how well they hold up.

Very happy with purchase. Supportive, secure and waterproof. A bit of style (for Birkenstock) as well! A bit difficult to get on without loosening two straps (there are three), but that’s a minor inconvenience for the stability and style of the shoe.

The sole was the correct length but the width was made for sasquatch and the straps were huge as well. Normally I wear a 13 in shoes and running shoes but I ordered a 12 and they were still WAY TOO BIG

I wasn’t sure about these when I first got them but, after a few days, I really like them. If you like the feel of Birkenstocks, you are likely to find these comfortable but the footbed is not as soft as the usual suede footbed. The straps are a bit stiffer than the leather straps, but still quite comfortable. I do wish they had not gone for Velcro on these. Aside from looking and feeling a bit cheaper than the usual buckles, I worry that they will not last as long. A side effect of using velcro for the straps, instead of buckles, is that all of the straps are two layers stuck together instead of a single layer. I think this is the real reason the straps are stiffer than I am used to. It makes getting them on and off a little more and I have gotten a couple of hot spots from these over the first few days of use. I think they are breaking in a bit, so that will likely go away.
Overall, if you want a pair of Birkenstocks that will do well in wet conditions, these will do great. If you are looking for something a little less adventurous, I would probably go with the Milano (for similar style). I tried a pair of those and they felt fantastic. If I wasn’t looking for a sandal that would do well getting wet a lot, I would have kept those instead.

Fit great loved the shoe but broke in two weeks.

Metal rivets under the strap tore up my skin =(
Bob –
Arch must be perfectly placed for comfort. Velcro tabs are to long. Ends do not stay down
Manny –
Nice style for outdoor wear but would have preferred a buckle vs Velcro closure. Nice supportive footbed. Love that they are waterproof. Fit is typical of Birkenstock.

Feel great! Always been a fan of the cork foot bed but the composite is great. Originally ordered wrong size, but returning was a breeze! Took the box (no packing) to local Whole Foods where it was scanned, put in a large ziploc bag and into a bin. Next day my refund was recorded on my credit card. Way to easy?

The arch on the right shoe was to large & hard for my foot & I own a gazillion berks so I had to return unfortunately

I was looking for a rugged shoe that can get wet, ive fallen twice in EVAs so i needed a more rugged sole. The shoe was narrower on the right & that hard arch support hurt my foot on the right as well & I own a gazillion birks & never had the problem so unfortunately had to return
Bob –
Rivets pulled out of the straps after only 1 summer of wear. So far three have done that and I’ve replaced them. But VERY disappointing for the brand and the cost of these sandals. I’ve worn Birkenstocks for over 30 years. These are a huge disappointment.

Overall they are too heavy
Gary –
Way too heavy

These didn’t fit as expected (compared with the handful of other Birkenstock shoes I have). Easy peasy return!
