I ordered these knowing pretty they would be too narrow for me. I have owned many Birkenstock sandals and always wear the medium. I was right, too narrow. Man I wish these came in my width. Made more durable for the elements and would of been perfect. Sigh…

I bought a pair of these as I have always wished Birks had a better sole that was more sturdy and would last longer. This is it! Out of the box they were comfortable for me. I wore them walking on a recent trip with no problem. My partner liked them and he did not like the men’s option with leather. He liked the Velcro on mine that affords some adjustment. He is keeping his and happy with them.

I absolutely love these new Birkenstock’s. They are finally something that has a decent tread and won’t slip like the others do. They are far better than the similar styles like Tevas etc. because of the suede and cork. They don’t make my feet sweat like the others with the rubber foot beds and, of course, they are molding themselves to my foot like my other Birkenstock’s. I like the rugged material as well and they are very easy to adjust.

Material feels solid, like these will wear well. Can get wet/ wear in dewy grass etc unlike my other similar sandals (same brand). BUT they feel bigger/sloppier and less comfortable, and also like the support isn’t as good. Unsure.

I love that these have a tread on the bottom and fit like regular Birks. They may not be as stylish as leather Birks but they are comfortable and very useful on some surfaces.

I’ve had issues with normal Birkenstocks due to the cork footbed succumbing to my neuromas, knots, and such…I also have extra wide feet and the deep seat of the footbed was pinching that last metatarsal to the point I had to drill them wider…crazy I know! THESE were perfect right out of the box, AMAZING support! The strap doesn’t cramp on that last metatarsal bone, and the footbed won’t give or change with time like the cork – velcro is super super strong and they just feel amazing! Price is great and I don’t think I can hurt these things. LOL You just don’t think about your feet – that’s something that never happens to me. They are a tiny bit irritating around the toe just because there is gripping on the latex but you get used to it, or just pop on some socks. I am so grateful to B for making these, I was about out of options!! OH, but, MORE COLORS PLEASE!!! 🙂 Not to mention they’re water happy 🙂 (been wearing B’s 3/4 insoles – the highest arch insole – for many many years. The shoes have been an issue for me but these are wonderful!

Solid sport sandal–I have wide feet and Tevas or Merrells don’t fit right.
I feel like Birkenstock unisex type styles–Sahara, Boston, Arizona–are a bit wider than the women’s regular/wide sandal, which works for me!

I’m consistently a size 39 in birkenstocks so that’s what I ordered. Because the footbed was too large the bobbly texture was really uncomfortable. I realized if my foot sat in the correct position, they were comfortable and the ones I’d ordered were just too big. Trying again with a smaller size ?

I ordered these sandals in my usual birkie size, but they were too big. Sized down and they were great, but I just could not get the strap over my right foot to feel comfortable. When I looked at them properly, I realized the connector strap over the ball of the foot was a full half inch shorter than the other one, so there was a lot of pressure on my big toe joint – sadly this pair will never be comfortable. I’m still not sure if the very textured footbed could become irritating on a long hot sweaty day. Otherwise, good sandals.

I tried these on and couldn’t work out why the textured footbed felt so uncomfortable. Then I realized my foot was sloshing around inside the sandal, and right enough, the sahara was way bigger than my usual size in my Birkenstock bilbaos. I returned and reordered a smaller size.

The shoe fit comfortably. My complaint is that the straps on the left shoe were much longer than on the right shoe,. They flopped around and looked funny.

I love that these are water friendly so I don’t have to worry about getting caught in a rainstorm like with my traditional birks. These have become my favorite sandals. Only thing is that they are a bit more narrow than usual and they leave a mark on my foot. Still extremely comfortable. I will order these again.

I have many pairs of Birkenstock with the cork footbed. These fit larger than all my others by 1/2 size. I normally get a 40 (women’s 9) but bought these in a 39 based on reviews. The 39 fits the same as my other Birkenstocks do in size 40. What I wish was that these were offered in the narrow width, which is what I usually wear in Birks. These are only offered in the regular width and they are pretty darn wide on me but I’m keeping them because they’re comfortable and waterproof, which is why I got them. They’re perfect for the beach or pool. My cork bottom Birkenstocks, such as my Arizona, are more comfortable but these are good enough for my purposes. Love the blue color. Also the straps are very long. I have them very loosely strapped otherwise there would be so much extra hanging off the sides.

I like them! They actually feel a quarter size larger, there is a small gap on the back. The width is perfect, my Arizona sandals sometime hurt the side of my foot. Their solid and comfortable enough…just got them though. I have venous insufficiency so my feet swell sometimes and I really needed a pair of velco sandals.

Worn around the house one day and the straps hurt the tops of my feet. The textured sole feels uncomfortable and I wish I hadn’t worn them outside because now I can’t return. Expensive mistake!!

I saw reviews saying these ran wide and I knew they were for me. They are a wide fit with long enough straps to adjust for a variety of foot types. Nice grippy bottoms kept me steady on wet surfaces. My wide, high arch feet are very happy.
