The soft footbed is comfortable. The straps make walking secure. I like the look. No rubs from the new leather straps. Due to my neuromas.

My Husband LOVES these! He is a die-hard Birkenstock fan, but when ordering, I decided to take a little adventure from his normal Arizona. Well, it worked! He hasn’t stopped wearing them since they were delivered.

The fit was as expected and the width was great. I gave the comfort 4 stars because I prefer the soft footbed but that is just a personal thing. It just means that it is going to take a bit longer to break them in.

Owed Birkenstocks for better part of 20 years now. This new take on the Milano is fantastic. They are a little bit heavier but I think you can expect a much longer life span on the soles. I will say I have ALWAYS worn a 41 and these I had to go down to a 40 so you may want go size smaller.

Great sandal for a wide width, but way too wide for a thinner foot. My husband was able to adjust the straps to fit across his foot, but the footbed is so wide he could’ve fit both feet side by side in one shoe. He wears a 12 and the length was okay, maybe 1/2 size too long.

These sandals fit fine and looked great. My problem with them was in putting them on. I wish the strap around the heel had velcro instead of a buckle. I like the buckles over the foot and do not have a problem with them. I also have the Arizona sandals and I like them but I thought the Milano’s might stay on a little better for every day wear.

These are great sandals. The leather is soft, the footbed is very supportive and the sole appears to be grippy. Having said that, I tried my normal size in Birkenstock and found them to be too large. I ordered the next size down and they were fine in length but too narrow. Sadly, I had to return them. I feel like these would have been great sandals if I could have found the right size for me. Thanks for the great service Zappos!

Second pair as the first lost a rivet after wearing them once. Feels just a little larger but very comfortable with straps adjusted. Great arch support. Highly recommend.

I’ve been needing a serious grown-up pair of sandals for years. I am always hesitant to try shoes that don’t come in a wide width, but I finally gave Birkenstocks a go. I am happy they have the Milano model with the back strap, as that has always been an important feature to me. I wear a 10 4E in New Balance and these fit great! Definitely use the actual foot measurement guide if you can find one – according to the chart a 10 is a 43 but according to measurements my foot is a 42 (which corresponds to a men’s 9), and that is spot on. This sandal is plenty wide with the adjustable straps. So far there has been no chafing or anything, and they are comfortable enough to walk the dogs on pavement. They do feel a bit heavy – but that’s compared to my spritely tennis shoes. Treat yourself to a pair of Birkenstocks, even fat feet deserve to look and feel good!

Been wearing Birks for over 30 years but they are not the quality they used to be. Bought Milano CT’s and they failed within 4 months. Back ankle strap was made from thin inferior leather and would not stay on my ankle even after creating a new hole, but even worse, the leather tore on the side from where it adheres to the seam between the footbed and sole, again because of thin leather. I even sent pictures to Birkenstock and they accused me of making up a story and saying they were torn from an exterior source. Birkenstock does not stand behind their sandals and they use inferior grades of leather.

Really love these sandals. They are more like the old Birki style but with more arch support. I really appreciate that because the Birki had a wider heel. It seems that Birkenstock footbeds are getting more and more narrow in that area and causes pain for those of us with a wide heel. They seem to run a tad bigger as well but not so much that I would size down. The rugged soles make a much smoother stride because I don’t feel the ground pounding against the bottom of my feet. My heel spurs and plantar fasciitis appreciate that.

Wear a US 7.5 for sandals and other slip-ons. In this case, the Birks were a full size larger. Great shoe, but will exchange for the 6 – 6.5 size.

I lie this rugged sandal. I wear it for my summer morning walks every day of the week and it keeps my feet feeling great. The only irritation is the occasional bit of grass or dirt that sneaks in; but, hey, that is the nature of a sandal.

I’ve been wearing Birks for decades. This iteration of the Milano is true to its name. I wore it all summer and well into fall because it felt better walking up and down hills and everywhere, every day and in every way. Absolutely and unreservedly recommend!

Love the Rugged version of all the Birks. I am hard on my shoes and these are just as comfortable as the original but much more durable. They are heavier, but I am fine with it.
