Laura –
I have wide feet, so the regular size fits me perfectly (Birks tend to run wide). These are beautiful, more feminine sandals. I’m in love with my new Birks! Look great with shorts and skirts….can be dressed up or down.

The fit was exactly as expected. I usually wear size 8.5 – 9 in sandals and a 9.5 in running shoes. I ordered the size 40 Birkenstocks and they fit perfectly. I also have extremely narrow feet so I got them in “narrow” width which worked very well for me. The shoes are not the most comfortable when walking long distances. The strap closest to my ankle rubs against my upper foot, but I have only worn them a few times (I just purchased the shoes this month), and I imagine they need some breaking in. Note: The Tobacco colour is lighter than it appears in the photos online

I followed Zappos recommended sizing and ordered two pairs in size 39 (US Women’s 8-8.5) in a narrow and a wide width and the shoes were too small in length. My third toes were catching on the raised edge of the footbed. Also, the wide width pair were too wide (not sure why I ordered them, I never wear wide shoes.) I tried size 40 (US Women’s 9-9.5) narrow at another retailer and they fit perfect. Sizing aside, the sandals seem comfortable when I tried them on but overall I didn’t love this style, the Franca, in real life. My sizing in all other shoes: 9 regular width (my feet measure 10″ long).

My experience with Birkenstock’s is that regular width is actually wide and narrow width is regular width. If I cinched these down to the smallest buckle setting, I could make them fit. But the other thing about Birkenstock’s is that the leather is inexplicable heavy and harsh. They have been returned. But the oiled red color is really pretty.

I got my usual Birkenstock size – 41. I wear about a size 10 US. At first I got the regular width, but exchanged for the narrow. My foot is average to slightly wide, but just like my mayori style, the narrow is best. My hunch is regular is more of a man foot width. Also, with my big foot, the narrow has an overall more feminine look. Oh, and the wider one was okay but if they’re too loose at all, the sandal won’t stick with your foot when you walk, and you’ll trip in them. By the way, in the Arizona style I wear 40, but all other Birkis I own are 41. I hope this info helps someone!

My college-aged daughter absolutely loves these sandals. She says they amazingly comfortable and a cute standout in Birkenstockland (Boulder, CO).

Love them! The look and feel great.

I can’t believe these came in a bag!!!!
The shoe box was crunched.
I GOTTA SAY, IM NOT HAPPY ABOUT THIS!!!!
What happened to ZAPPOS?

I love these sandals! I ordered the same size I have in my previous pair of Birks and they fit perfectly.

The fit felt fine. I’m right on the cusp of a different size so that probably would have been fine as well. The style seems “cute” if Birkenstocks can be cute. I like them a lot and have waited to buy them pondering which ones to get.

I purchased the tobacco color first and was disappointed that it was so pale. The color was lighter than the photo. I exchanged them for the dark blue which I prefer. I normally wear a size 8 or even 8.5 in some narrower shoes and I am happy with the 38 which Zappos says is a 7-7.5. I already owned a pair of size 38 Birkenstocks so I just purchased that size again. For me the fit is perfect. Length and width (regular) are both the right size. .

Although Birkenstock claims that a 4-4.5 US size is a 35, it is not. My older sandals (arizona and granada) are 33 and my Boston clogs are 34, and they fit very well and are comfortable. A 35 is too long — my foot slides and does not fit properly in the shoe making it very uncomfortable. Note the gap at the toe in the attached image. I cannot be the only person who has small feet. It is very frustrating. I really wanted to like these sandals.
I would have rated this sandal much higher, but the fit is misrepresented by Birkenstock.

I bought these to replace my old pearl-colored mayaris (after 4 years they were done for) and nothing compares to the oiled leather. They take a bit to break in, but after a few days, they’re extremely comfortable. These shoes are very supportive but dressier than the arizonas, plus a bit more feminine.

Super comfortable even though they have to be broken in. Good support. I have a very wide, flat foot with bunions (regular and tailor’s bunion off pinky toes too) so it’s really hard to wear anything with a strap that comes across the foot. Being able to adjust the buckle and having the wider footbed are life savers. There were some scratches and marks on the leather, glue spots, and there was a piece of gouged cork on the left shoe’s toe but quality is good overall. I mostly wear a 7-7.5, sometimes a 6.5 (7.5 is usually due to width). I got the 37 (6-6.5) and the footbed is plenty long enough.

I love these! So attractive!! I feel like an artiste!
So instantly comfortable. The only complaint o have is that they give me no added height, but at age 48, I should just come to grips with being 5’5. 😉

My only reservation, and it’s not small, is that the material of the sandal received, the COLOR of the straps is not at all “oiled leather” pictured as a dark tan in the item list when i selected it online … but rather a putty color. the fit is fine. i have owned many pairs of Birkenstocks over the years and will sullenly keep the shoes. but this color and the material are not at all what was featured in the image for this product and I would not have selected it. the materials is more suede than “oiled leather” .. so not pleased.

Very cute, comfy right out of the box. More unusual than standard Arizona but same comfort and fit. Love these!!0

Cork shoe bed broke down after a summer and a half. Birkenstock company told me there was nothing they could do since I bought them from a third-party. Big waste of money. Love the shoes, but the quality of the cork sole is very poor.

Love them
Lindsay –
Best Birkenstocks I have ever owned. Compared to Birko-flor birks I have owned these required very little breaking in. I don’t know if the bottom is different as well in the oiled leather, but I noticed a big difference in immediate comfort. Would 100% buy again, love these so much. I bought the regular width and they fit my narrow foot just fine. True to size.

I really like the style of this shoe. I have a narrow foot and these fit great. I was able to wear these with only a minimum of discomfort for the first two days. I’m giving it a four because of the color. This is by no means a black. It is more of a deep grayish blue. I’m also disappointed in Zappos passing it off as a black.

These were fake Birkenstocks. The leather was rough and left red marks as it rubbed the skin. I’ve owned many pairs of Birks over the years and they are simply much higher quality. Also, they didn’t come in Birk’s blue box. Do not buy.

For lovers of old school Birks with their original footbed, these are perfect! Fit just like all old school Birks ie “narrow” = regular width & “regular” = wide , very adjustable for my high instep, I wear 38 whereas with most other brands & shoes esp all closed toe items, I must size up to fit my high instep, high toes & slightly wide forefoot, usually to 9 or 9W!
I love the dark blue, color & the extra style with the diagonal strap which also adds security to the fit.
Give the footbed time to break in to your feet & your feet time to get used to the arches. 1-2 hours the first day or 2, increase gradually.

The raised edge of the shoes bothered my toes and was not comfortable for me.

I have owned many Birkenstock shows over the years, but the straps on these I found very hard and difficult to close. The straps felt very hard on my feet so these will sadly go back.
