these look cute with the new details however they are so uncomfortable even on the last straps (i have a normal, skinnier foot) they tun where the braid details are:/ the footbed is very tough

These are so cute and I wish I would like them. The leather being braided makes the strap lumpy, and this cuts into my foot. I tried loosening the straps but this makes them more difficult for walking.

Worst Birk ever! The braided straps rub your feet raw anywhere it touches your skin. Will never wear these!

I almost didn’t buy these shoes because other reviews said the braided straps were painful. I’m glad I decided to go ahead anyway. The first few days were uncomfortable due to the straps rubbing my foot, but this could happen with any sandal. All that’s needed is a couple days to break them in. The straps are leather and they break in just fine! (Wear socks if it’s really too difficult for you- I found the breaking in process to be tolerable!)
So yeah. These are super cute and comfy. Love them!

I love Birkenstocks – I have more than a dozen pair in my closet right now, and have been wearing birks since 1992. These are too cute and I had to have them. But they are HORRIBLE. The braided strap cuts into my foot and makes it so uncomfortable. I basically use them as a decorative accessory – like, I will wear them to a school performance, so I’m seated the whole time, then walk back to my car and take them off as soon as I get home. What a disappointment.

I have some issues with bones in my feet, and I love Florida Birkenstock because of how the straps are arranged. It’s hard to tell from a picture exactly how the straps will fall, and that was the case here. I’d never seen this styyle of Birks before, and thought I would try this style, since i liked it’s looks. This is why I love Zappos, especially for Birks: free shipping, freee returns. Just like I went to a store to try on a bunch of different shoes. Thanx. Zappos.

Very unattractive shoe in person, they do not closely resemble the photos. I know that Birks run a little wide, but they were sort of cute in the photos and I thought with the adjustable buckles maybe they could work. I was wrong. They’re extremely wide. Going a size down would not help because the length was right, plus there was about an inch extra in the width, I kid you not. that is a lot. My foot is on the narrower side of medium, but most of my shoes are medium width. These Birks do not seem to me like they’d fit any medium width. Birkenstock apparently only makes shoes for very wide feet or people who are going to wear thick socks with their sandals, which I won’t ever be doing!

The strap near the ankle on my right foot rubbed badly. Also the strap near my left pinky toe. I’ve worn Birka for years….. these don’t fit right. I also dislike the white rubber sole.

I love the look of these shoes but as others have mentioned in their reviews it digs into the skin on your foot. It has cut into my foot after a few hours of walking. It’s very painful and I do not recommend this shoe. Such a shame because the braids are cute but that’s what causes the issue 🙁
Otherwise fit and everything is true to size.

I’m so surprised to see the low reviews as I really love this style! Super comfortable immediately & they even make my feet look smaller than they are. Beautiful color, soft straps, supportive foot bed. My favorite Birkenstocks!

I love my Birkenstocks. I’m glad I already knew that they have to be broken in a bit before they get comfortable, or I wouldn’t have kept them. Now that I’ve worn them a few times, I don’t want to wear anything else. They are exactly what I was looking for in a sandal.

This has the standard fit of the Birkenstock. I was nervous because many reviewers were concerned about the comfort of the braided strap. I found them unwearable with the straps tightened as I normally would wear them. However, if I loosened them one notch, they didn’t bother me and I can wear them just as long as my others. I did wear them with socks around the house for a week or so to break in the leather. The color is gorgeous and the style is flattering.

Can you say cute AND Birkenstock in the same sentence?? These are probably the most stylish Birks I’ve ever had! I was nervous about these when I first tried them on, since they are the original footbed/straps which are inherently stiff at first. I tried them on again the next day and they are already softening as Birks are supposed to. So glad I gave them another chance!

I love the Franca Style in these sandals. Not only are they really cute, but they fit like they’re made for me personally, and are comfortable right out of the box. This is my second pair of Franca sandals and I’m equally happy about these.

They’re Birks so they get 5 starts. HOWEVER – Olive green is NOT olive green. It’s more of a taupe. Sad cause they are super cute but I’m returning – don’t even like it as a taupe color.

I love this style. Considering ordering another in cognac before my current pair wears out. Wear them all the time. I have a wider foot and the stap has never bothered me. Love the Franca style. Have it in several colors.
