It was too hard. I’m used to Birkenstock’s soft footbed.

I have spent hundreds of dollars on arch supports and custom made orthotics trying to elevate the pain from heel spurs or Medically pronounced planter fascia. All without an ounce of success. I happened to put on a pair of my old Birkenstock Sandals and was amazed at the relief I was getting from the heel pain. The pain was still their but after a few hours of wear there was a noticeable difference . At that point I began to realize that the form fitting cork and jute sole and arch support were the answer. I entered the ZAPPO site for Birkenstock Shoes and saw that a “Natural arch Support” was offered in a two piece package , an Arch Support and a Blue Neoprene form fitted liner. This is the product I bought and began wearing immediately and has completely eliminated heel pain in my right foot and is slowly diminishing the pain in my left foot as I wear them. I believe that along with a good pair of sturdy shoes and the “Birkenstock” inserts a person with chronic heel pain of planter fascia can over several weeks cure the pain without Cortisone injections or expensive. Prescribed orthotics.

I went to the local Soft-Moc shop and I purchased Birko-Natural because I was having lower back problem and my current orthotic was worn out. After three days of extensive usage (2 hour walking per day), I notice my back pain almost gone. Birko-Natural is a great product.

Relief at last! I’ve been suffering from Plantar Fasciitis for a while now, and tried all sorts of things. New shoes, flexibility work, you name it. After reading about the possibility of finding relief by raising the heel, I decided to try these insoles. Success! My feet haven’t been this comfortable in ages, and I think the damage has begun to heal. That done, I’m incorporating flexibility and strength training (feet, legs, hips) carefully into my routine to maintain the change. These fit inside my sneakers, underneath the original insole, very comfortably.

I wear a womens 7.5 to 8 usually (sometimes 8.5). I tried size 38 which is for 7 – 7.5 as the 39 wasn’t in stock plus another website (Birkenstock) stated the 38 fits an 8. The arch was too high for my comfort. Also the left one felt different than the right side, so possibly a defect. These were not as I expected as I thought I had the perfect shoes to use these in. I’m uncertain the 39 would work as these were too just too high for me.

These are to large to fit in my shoes. Even my running shoes. the area around the heel is wide. The other inserts, the blue ones fit nicely.

I had high hopes for these inserts. My health insurance cut back on their orthotic benefits this year and I was hooding to avoid a $500 investment. I adore my Birkenstock sandals and have purchased at least six pairs of them from Zappos. These inserts were in no way comparable. They fit my running shoes just fine (I ordered my usual Birkenstock size) but after that it was all downhill.
The arch wasn’t high enough for me and there was (obviously) no cushioning under my metatarsal heads, which I need. I tried them under and over the removable insoles in my running shoes and without the insole all together and couldn’t get comfortable. In fact, after a couple of hours of trying I began to have knee pain. Not a solution for me but I still love Zappos. This company has changed shoe shopping for those of us who don’t fit in the usual size 5-10 world.

These are being made differently than they were years back. There is a strange little pad of thickness that sits just below the ball of the foot, very uncomfortable. I had to order shoe liners to go over these to even out the support and make them more comfortable to use.

I have tried many shoes and many insoles for plantar fascitis and this one finally works. I can actually walk without pain from the first time I wore them.

My mistake! I ordered the blue Birkenstock arch support before & thought to try this one. Silly me! This one doesn’t come in narrow & my feet don’t come any way But narrow.

Basically hit or miss in my opinion. If you have the right foot shape these will work
For you as it certainly did for me. But I have hard time fitting them inside most of my shoes due to the bulky design. I’m sure I’m not the only one with this issues but if you are planning on wearing these under your “dad sneakers” it might work for you. But I do recommend trying them on before buying.

I wanted these to work, but they grab my socks too much; I can barely get my feet into the shoes with these. The smoother blue insoles are better.

I will notify Customer Service. BUT first…received these…delivered by AMAZON in a plastic bag, boxed in a Zappos Box …not the Birkenstock Box in a Zappos Box …AND they smelled like they were sprayed with disinfectant …I am SO disappointed! What are you doing Zappos??? When I order from Zappos…PLEASE have my purchases delivered by UPS

I’m baffled why people have given these bad reviews: they’re the same cork construction as the sandals, and are easily inserted into other shoes without cramping toes to create a Birk footbed. They are a godsend for my PF and have made my hiking shoes a million times more comfortable. Big thumbs up from me!

Purchased to add support to ballet flats, but I think I need a narrow here, and these were only available in regular medium. Exchanging for another Birkenstock insole that’s offered in narrow; see if those work better.
(I tested size 36 (5 to 5.5) insoles in Rothy’s size 37.7 (7) flats and 38 (7.5) points.)

I was so excited for these – I wear my sandals all summer long. The reviews sounded perfect. Unfortunately, I tried them in several shoes and they were uncomfortable. I have very high arches and need more of a heel cup. Where I mostly felt them was as a lump under the ball of my foot. Disappointed they didn’t work out, generally a huge fan.

I don’t how these are supposed to fit in my shoes. I would need at least a 1/2 size larger shoe. I thought I could use them in my size 38 Boston clogs that are bit too wide (the inserts I bought are size 38, too), but it wasn’t possible. They wouldn’t even lay down flat on the shoe bed.

Works w some shoes but not all.

These were exactly what I was looking for. I need support for my feet, but I often like the cute shoes without support. These insoles solved my problem. They fit perfectly in my shoes without issue. I was worried they would make my shoes feel too small, but the didn’t! Hooray!

I’ve worn Birkies for years. These inserts are great if you want real arch support and a heel cup. I will buy more.

I ordered these for my daughter who has flat feet that cause her pain. Custom orthotics are expensive, but Birkenstock’s are comfortable for her without the orthotics. I ordered these hoping they would be like Birkenstock insoles. They are not! Returned.
