The variety of available materials and colours make the model a sandal for all walks of life. The arch supports that run alongside the sides of the footbed surround the tarsal bones inside and out. This gives the foot the stability it needs when it takes a step. The very deep molding in the heel area supports the foot tissue and holds the heel bone firmly in its natural position. This provides the foot with nearly as much support when it is in a sandal as when it is in a closed shoe.

I’m returning the shoes by way of exchange because they are too big. I think Zappos’s sizing on these needs to be readjusted. Please note: the color description and the color photograph do not correctly describe these sandals. They have a lot more blue in the red than is either pictured or descriptive of a sun dried tomato. I’m keeping the color because it’s acceptable, not because it matched something I wanted to wear.

GREAT color! As a collector of Birks these will go nicely as we glide into summer together. I am lucky to work in an office where I can wear my Birks and these will do just fine. The great toe grip, the soft foot bed it all adds up to stylish comfort.

I don’t think your Birkenstock sizing is correct – I know I am a 38 from many years of wearing Birkies, but I am a solid 8.5 on the wide side in every other shoe. By your shoe chart I should have selected a 39, which from past experience is HUGE on me.

This is my first pair of birks. I’ve wanted them for awhile, but have been hesitant because of the price. I tried them on in a store to find the right size and fell in love. I was so happy to see Zappos had them because I had a gift card here! I have had them for a week and love everything about them! I am breaking them in, but it’s not as bad as some reviews made it sound. In fact I’ve worn them for over 5 hours every day- no blisters or red marks. Not bad at all. I got the narrow, fits totally fine! Would recommend spraying a leather water protector over them.

Fabulous comfort and super cute. For me, I have to go down a size. I’m a very standard US 7, but I order a 37 in Birks. I was concerned the narrow footbed might now work, but they are perfect.

I love this sandal! Everything about it – beautiful, trendy color, comfortable (if it were regular width), excellent support, high quality leather upper. But I had to return it. It is only available in narrow, and I can only wear narrow in the Birkenstock unisex styles. It seems the narrow for the Birkie women’s style shoes is narrower than for the unisex styles. I will have to keep this in mind next time I purchase Birkenstocks (which I definitely will!).

I love the color- ordered the lavender. everything feels good..even with my bunion….but the material is a bit rough and i got a blister. I guess i need to wear with band-aid for while..till they break in. very comfy on foot bed ! just wish the leather were softer.

I’ve worn Birkenstock for years but current quality seems cheaper. Hardware attaching buckles was not buried in the strap & scratched my toes. I returned them.

YES! I started with a 38, because I usually wear a 38. BUT I guess I wear a 37 in most sandals. The 38s are going back. As far as narrow goes, this Narrow is not as narrow as some Narrows I’ve known. Fits like a gloveI And my foot tends to be a little wide. LOVE the Sky blue color. I bought these to be my new “indoor” shoes. I usually keep a pair for inside only, because everyone knows what gross stuff gets on the bottom of your shoes walking around outside. Plus, I cannot go barefoot inside, because we live on a slab, and I need some cushioning. Not to mention, in Phoenix, you never know when you might run into a scorpion. BUT these look so pretty, I just may have to rethink this.

I normally wear a 40 narrow in the classic fit Birkenstocks but in the soft footbed ones I have to go up a size. I wish the shoes came in half sizes because that would solve my problem but they don’t. I got these in 41 N since the last pair in the soft footbed I purchased (from Zappos who has wonderful service) was a size 40 and they were a little short on me–thw width in the 40 narrow was perfect though. The problem with the 41’s is that they’re a little too big both in the length and the width for me–even in the narrows. I love the lilac color–they’re really cute and I love the soft footbed. The buckle is stiff and the nubuck leather is too stiff as well. I prefer the suede straps in the sandals but Zappos doesn’t have many of them in the pastel women’s colors. I’m hoping they break in like my black oiled leather ones did eventually but I wish Birkenstock made more colors in the pastel suede sandals.

Fit perfectly from first try. Surprised that narrow fit as I’m not a narrow in any shoe. But tried the regular width and they were way too wide. Found them true to Euro size and I ignored the US equivalent shown. Love the yellow color, super cute and they’re very soft and comfortable.

This is another pair of Birks added to the collection. I love them! The yellow is SLIGHTLY lighter in person, but still adorable. Super soft suede feels amazing! The size chart is off! I’m a 9.5 women and wear a 39 in Birks, which is a perfect fit for me. I didn’t follow the size chart because I know my Birk size. Great buy!

Love my new Birkenstocks — the ochre color is a happy golden yellow color, much cuter than its name implies. I made sure I sprayed suede guard on them before wearing as I’m sure they will get grubby . . . Couldn’t resist these especially since I could get them in the medium width. I can wear the narrow width but prefer the medium. These sandals are super comfy with the soft footbed and suede straps, almost like slippers. I walk a lot at work; these are just what I need since I’m allowed to dress casually. I have even broken my “No socks with sandals!” personal rule and I’ll wear cute socks with my Birkenstocks, as our weather is still chilly. Thanks for the great selection and super customer service, Zappos!

LOVE this color! The blue is not faded, rather it’s a true baby blue. Also, the soles are not a true white. Instead they are light beige color. Some of the photos made them seem whiter and some made them seem darker. I was worried they would be too dark, but they look great!

Love the soft foot bed Birks! The extra cushion makes them so comfortable! The pink is a nice shade of pink and gives a nice pop of color! I usually wear a 7 – 7.5 sandal in other brands, but consistently a 37N in Birks. I recommend these! They will last a long time too!

Plastic buckles. Birkenstock said the sandals I bought should have metal buckles. Returned. Zappos is authorized Birkenstock retailer. Bought new pair straight from Birkenstock.
Do not want plastic buckles for functional buckles that need to be stressed to keep sandal on foot.
I do like the upper color but not the white bottom. Did not break them in or wear them.

Color of the pair I received was definitely darker and cooler than the picture- more like a taupe. Straps are big- put them on the tightest closure, so beware of you think the leather straps may loosen over time. Otherwise, great shoes, great quality

I got these narrow in the putty pink color and am so glad I took a chance on the narrow as it was all that was available. I’m not normally a narrow in any shoe but a medium. But the narrow in my normal size 8 (39) fit perfectly. I purchased these after returning the regular width pink orchid Arizona Soft Footbeds. These are much nicer with the metal buckles and for much better too on the narrow. If you are normally medium width, don’t be afraid to give the narrows a try on this style – I’m glad I did!

My favorite birks yet (I have 6 pairs). The nubuck leather is the best, so soft and zero break in period (like other birks). The pink with the white sole is very cute. This was my first “soft footbed” and they are a bit softer but not a huge noticeable difference. I have a moderately narrow foot and these came in narrow and I do think that made a big difference in fit for me and added to the comfort. I have arthritis in my knees, hips and back with a good amount of over pronation so good footwear is essential and birkenstocks are a go-to for me.
