I own multiple pairs of Birkenstocks – specifically the soft foot bed versions as I found the regular versions painful. I was super excited that these all white Birks finally came in a soft footbed version. But when these arrived I was super confused because despite being labelled soft…..they don’t feel soft at all. The footbeds look nothing like my other Birks and on these you can see and feel the lump at the arch which causes my feet agony. They also run super wide despite being labelled normal fit! I put them against another pair and they are significantly wider and I have to buckle these to the very inner holes which I usually never have to do. Leather is very stiff and you can just tell these will cause blisters and pain so sadly they are going back. So disappointing!

True to size for my Size 13 feet, love the adjustable straps for a customizable fit, and the soft footbed is an added bonus. They will need some breaking in but they are rather comfortable enough out the box and I know they will get better with time and wear as Birkenstocks will need that break-in period to mold to one’s feet. I’m a happy customer overall!

I like Birkenstocks, you can tell they are made with care and quality. I wanted to see what the WHITE ones looked like, and they seemed to overpower my feet (although they did overall make my feet appear smaller). Plus, I started to worry about keeping them clean. They are also very stiff, but I’m told they loosen up as you wear them more. However, I decided to return these and will look for other white sandals for summer.

This was the most uncomfortable pair of Birkenstocks I have ever owned and I have owned a lot of them!! The leather is so stiff it hurts the top of my feet to even wear them. I got them as a gift for my birthday and need to exchange for a pair that doesn’t hurt my feet!!

I normally wear 10 in every shoe, but in birkenstocks I always get a 42 9-9.5 and they fit great.

I am a Birkey from way back and wanted a fresh pair of white. They are stiffer than I remember ( seemingly lesser quality leather than the oiled version I have? ) That can happen when mfgrs. try to keep up with explosive demand. The leather has a bit of a texture to them which I was not expecting adding to the quality old vs new question. All and all they are comfortable and will wear in.

I could live in these sandals! This style usually doesn’t need any breaking in for me. Just a classic pair with a lot of comfort. I get these in white every summer and wear them pretty much every day.
