As along time Arizona wearer, I ordered these as soon as I saw them and, in true Zappos fashion, they arrived quick as a wink. At first I thought there might be a couple of issues. First of all, I thought it was a dumb idea: who needs a shearling lined sandal? Your heels and toes are still exposed and even if you wear them with socks, it’s really the toes that get coldest fastest! Secondly, I found my foot slipping forward no matter how tight I made the straps. So, sadly, I planned to send them back via Zappos’ hassle-free return policy. The next day, on further reflection, I revised my thinking: I love Arizonas; they’re the only shoes I’m comfortable in, no matter how long I wear them or how far I walk. I’m not looking forward to the winter since I’ll have to wear them with socks. Well, since I’m going to wear them in the winter anyway, with socks, why not see how these shearing-lined ones feel with socks. Voila! They feel pretty good so, even though toes and heels will still be exposed (only sock covered), I should still be ahead of the game, right?

These are great for a little while. Then, the Shearling starts coming off, and you are left with blotches of empty spaces where the shearling used to be. So, they are not so great after all! I exchanged my first pair (with the missing shearling), for another pair (in a different color), and then the second pair had a defect. The left shoe was crooked, so when it was on the floor, it did not lay flat, it was crooked – half of it did not touch the floor (if you can understand that), so now I am in the process of exchanging the second pair for a third pair of the original color, because the second pair color is out of stock now (oy vey). I am pretty sure the shearling will come off again, but I do not care because they are comfortable, warm and provide support for indoor slippers. I will just keep exchanging them, as long as I can. Zappos is an absolutely awesome company. They are super fast, super accommodating and easy to work with. They are my go to for so many things. I absolutely love them.

The shearling on a sandal is “slick”, My foot went right through the front of the shoe. I’ve been on a waitlist for this shoe for the entire season. I always wear the R width, but they are on the way back in exchange for the narrow width. It’s not the same as a shearling boots which have toes to keep you in.

These Birks are wonderful! In terms of sizing, I am usually a 6 or 6.5 normal width but I wear a 36 narrow in both pairs of Arizona Birks I have (I find the regular width just too wide and clunky). We live in a modern apartment with very hard (and cold!) floors so I was looking for something to wear indoors that offered support and cozy warmth. These are the ideal combination and I can adjust the straps to wear with or without thick socks during different seasons. My feet used to hurt in the mornings upon waking and after wearing these daily whenever I’m home, they no longer do. Amazing. And finally, they are so unusual looking (furry sandals!?) that I now find them quite stylish and want another pair to wear out in the world!

I’m ridiculous! This gray-brown/White fur Arizona Shearling is my 3rd pair this fall, I love them so much. I bought them after realizing the Black/black fur pair rubs black off on my bare soles every time I wear them barefoot and thought, don’t I need another light fur pair? The answer was yes, yes I do. These are like wearing teddy bears on my feet, teddy bears who care about my high arches. This is the first pair I found the fur shed at the edges. Just ran my hands around cleaned off the loose lint. Another review mentioned vacuuming theirs and I could’ve done so but it was really no big deal. I hope BIrkenstick makes a black suede/white fur option. And yes,if they do, I will get a 4th pair. I’m crazy–like a fox. FYI: I got the same size in these as my usual Arizonas, 39N.

i’m laughing to myself because a reviewer wrote it was like teddybears hugging her feet. i bought mine at a store in chicago, and i kept saying to the salesperson, “it’s like walking on kittens that are hugging my feet, little hugging kittens” ok, she clearly had no sense of humor, and glared at me like i had real time experience in this area. i love kittens BTW. i should have calmed her by saying imaginary world where kittens wouldn’t be injured and would also joyfully embrace the weight of said human. at any rate, i’ve worn them to shreds and am here to buy a new pair, that are not covered with paint, for the house.

I felt compelled to write a review. I really wanted to LOVE these shoes. I’m a runner and these just called to me for my tired feet. I’m also a birki fan and own two other pair which I live in. First, I love the style and the way they look. I sized up but could have maybe even sized up one more with these. Here’s my beef: there is a really sharp glue lining on either side of the shoes and I can feel it. It’s not terribly uncomfortable (I’m not returning over it) BUT I notice it and wish I didn’t AND for the price I feel like they could have been made better. I thought people should be aware of this as I didn’t see anyone else mention it.

These are definitely indoor slippers for clean feet for long lasting life. I adore their comfort at the end of the day. Very nice looking. Have bought several pair.

I’ve been wearing this pair of fuzzy birks for 9 years. I love them to death. Although one of the first things I did was trim some of the excessive fuzz coming off of the sides of the straps on the top. They are not at all the most attractive shoes but they bridge the gap between winter slippers and fall sandals and now that they’re worn down and not as fuzzy after 9 years of wear, summer sandals too. I wear them camping, running errands, on the plane, around the house. I did buy them a size too small before knowing how birks are supposed to fit, but it doesn’t bother me at all now that they’ve melted to my feet like custom fuzzy homes. LOVE LOVE LOVE.

I ? these. They are so comfy – a treat for my feet. The grey is a beautiful light silvery blue grey – not a dull, dead grey. I look forward to more colors…

Why is it so hard to find the R width in Birkenstocks…please carry more R width sizing…I have a narrow heel but have the start of bunions (from shoes being too narrow) …with the N sizing the inside edges can be felt …the R sizing is perfect..especially since these can be adjusted.

The fit on this is just a hair small- I wear a 37 in Arizona’s without shearling, so I got a 37. It fit just fine- my toe goes a little closer to the edge, but I think going up to a 38 would have been too big. They are soft and comfy, and I they should be excellent shoes for cool fall weather.

Best purchase ever! These renewed my faith in Birkie’s! I haven’t worn Birkenstock’s since the 90’s. I tried a few times but something always felt very wrong, and I couldn’t endure the break in period as the toe bumps hit me in the wrong place. After years in Dansko, and developing severe hip pain as a result, I was desperate for a shoe that would align my feet and spine. (Please read further into Dansko. There are some strange problems. My sister, a nurse, first told me of the issues of people falling in them; her own falls, and hip and joint pain in Dansko.) When I saw these fleece lined Arizona’s I thought I should give the Birkie one more try. I have hardly taken them off since arriving. The fleece is really helping cushion the break in time of Birkenstocks, and I am walking comfortably, like on clouds! My grown sons and husband, all Birkie die hards, are rolling their eyes in disbelief, yet admiration, at mom’s fuzzy footwear. (My enduro mtn biking son had his feet featured as the first photo of the Montana enduro series- in Birkie’s and his good luck socks LOL!)

I bought a pair of sheepskin regular width and found them a little wide but comfortable, the light grey sheepskin run very narrow. I returned them.

I bought the Dove Gray Arizonas with shearling. I own countless Birkenstocks. So when I tell you that these run narrow because of the shearling, I know what I am talking about. The issue that I have is with Birkenstock. Birkenstock, STOP RELEASING NARROW ONLY ARIZONAS in your seasonal options. Most of your dedicated Birkenstock wearers, choose your brand because we have wide feet. Don’t tell me that narrow accommodates narrow to normal width feet because it just **DOESN’T**!!! People who require regular width are BORED with your core colors. There are only so many brown and black Birks that we want to own. Those of us with a collection want the seasonal and limited edition choices. So, when you release an awesome color like Dove Gray, I try to jam my foot into a narrow, but it does not fit because there is a shearling lining. Think about it Birkenstock, your narrow width footbed is already smaller than a regular width. So when you add shearling to it, doesn’t that make it extra narrow???? Why not make shearling in regular width so that your narrow and your regular width customers can both be happy??? No one has ever complained about a Birkenstock being too wide. You know why?? Because you can punch holes in the straps to make them tighter. You can’t make a Birkenstock wider though. If you would just release everything in both narrow and regular and allow your customers “choice”, you could make everyone happy. Rather than forgetting about those customers who loved your brand before Birks became “fashionable”. Plus, your regular width Birkenstock fans could shop locally rather than searching the deep dark web to find a pair of unique Birkenstocks in regular width. ***Zappos, as always provides incredible customer service.*** Below is a photo that I attached of a regular width shearling Arizona (navy) next to these narrow width shearling Arizonas (gray). As you can see, the narrow is not accommodating to those with a “wide” foot. Zappos, thank you for making returns easy.

I chose to take a chance and order a full size up because my regular size was too short and too narrow. I had returned my normal size 41. I marked these as being one size small and too narrow because of that. It worked! And the shoes are doing as I had hoped! First time I have ever had to buy a size 42 in a Birkenstock, but glad I did!

I usually wear a women’s 8.5 reg and got these in a 40 narrow and they fit PERFECT! I love these shoes. I live in San Diego, so they are perfect since Uggs can get a little too hot. I don’t have a narrow foot, but these fit really well. I have very high arches and they have great arch support. Highly recommend.

The shoes fit true to size. (I chose 9.5 or 40 narrow)
I wear nothing but these Birkenstock Shearlings, either black or other colors all year long, unless I play tennis.
They are very comfortable and easy to slide on and off. When they stretch too much I put some water on them and let them dry in the sun!
They will shrink and fit again perfectly.

After 4 weeks of having them and lightly using them, only inside the house, one ripped from the side

fit & size was fine but the shearling is peeling/falling off

LOVE, love love! Bought in lavender. My favorite shoe purchase. Like walking on pillows. I have all hard wood in my house and lots of stairs and so my feet were aching. My foot doctor said to wear Birks inside. My husband and I both bought and our feet feel SO good!

I received a pair of USED shoes. They were disgusting. Toe imprints, peeling lining, dog hair, and dirt on the bottoms. They also arrived a week late.

I use these as my winter house shoes (in Southern California). My husband thinks they’re ugly, but I’m trying to take better care of my ridiculously high arches, and these do the job. 😀 I have these and also a pair of non-fluffy leather Birkenstock sandals- both in size 36 (5-5.5) narrow, which fits perfectly. In other brands, no socks, I typically wear 6.5! (With socks, eg sneakers, I’m usually 7.5.) When I bought these, the main complaint I saw in the reviews was the fluff rubbing off; I haven’t had that issue. I wear the sandals snug, no socks, and the attached photo is after over two months of daily, all-day wear. No issues and still look great!

My mom got me the grey ones as a Christmas gift. I knew I wanted them to be my house shoes, and have only worn them inside. When I first out them on, they were the softest, fluffiest, most supportive shoes I’d ever had the pleasure of wearing, and the grey is a beautiful light dove grey! Sometimes I’d wear them with socks when it was chilly in our house, but mostly I wore them sock less. Unfortunately, as others have stated, the shearling in these does NOT last very long. It’s now the beginning of June, so almost 6 months that I’ve had them, and the shearling has worn off in the left big toe and in other spots as well (see pics). I knocked off a star for the shearling not lasting, but I honestly still love them as my house shoes & will continue to wear them. I have left foot pain issues and the support in Birks is second to none!

OMG I love these Birks that are enveloping my feet with love! I’m a 7.5 and ordered a 38 that fit great. I was worried the pink would be too pink but they’re just right and close to my fair skin color. I’d buy them in every color if I could afford them! Highly recommend!
