GREAT SANDALS ALL AROUND –
Just like any Birkenstock sandal, these are top notch. I found these on Zappos and I liked the price, when I was looking for some new sandals for this spring and summer. MUCH cheaper than the all around leather ones, but just as comfortable and durable. The soles are the same, the footbed is the same ((suede and everything)) the only difference is the upper which is made of Birko Flor which I like better than leather. It’s better when it rains and doesn’t crack like leather. These will be great for years to come. My last pair lasted over a decade.. The fronts were crushed, the leather was almost off and the soles were worn 100% smooth. Birkenstocks are the best and I will wear these until they can’t take anymore.. (about 10 years) A recommended alternative way to save money and still have great Birks. I got the brown, and it looks just like leather. And thanks Zappos for the FAAAST shipping

This is the first time I have tried Birkenstock…I found that the shoes are comfortable… I have trouble finding shoes because of my wide (wwww size) feet. The regular size fit perfect for my feet. After a few days of wearing these shoes …I found myself online to buy another pair… Thank you. Nina

These Birkenstocks are very comfortable and have a classic style. I can even walk 2 miles to work everyday in them. In addition the staff at Zappos was very helpful when I needed to return one pair and get a smaller size.

I have always been a Birkenstock fan and recently my dog chewed up the most recent pair. I wanted a new pair and noticed this Birko-Flor option for such a reasonable price. I was worried they wouldn’t look as good as the regular leather, but when they got here I was pleasantly surprised. They look every bit as nice as the higher priced model. I would definitely recommend them.

Just bought a pair of the Arizona Birko-Flor and after 3 painful weeks they have finally broken in and are very comfortable. For those who want to know the Birko-Flor refers to the vegan nature of the “leather” uppers. While the tops appear stiff the underside of the birko-flor has a very soft jersey like quality.

I’ve had these for about a month now and I love them! I have been wearing them almost all the time for the past month and I noticed that the protective covering on the cork is starting to peel away. I would recommend getting the cork protection stuff from the birkenstock website. The Birko-Flor is holding up great!! still looks just like the day I got them, so if you are super into the old leather look, I wouldn’t recommend the Birko-Flor. It’s very strong material though and comfortable as well. Took about a week of wear for them to break in and feel perfect for my foot. At first they kind of slipped off and were rigid, but the more you wear them around the faster and more comfortable they will feel. Great shoe! Highly recommend!

I can not believe how comfortable these sandals are. I had surgery on 12/16/17 and my right ankle and it is swollen. These sandals allow my swollen ankle to swell without compressing the edema. Thank you Zappos for carrying a quality sandal for people recovering from surgery. I will always buy my shoes from Zappos because I know I will be able to get my size from this company.

If you have a high instep, I don’t recommend these. Great shoes, great service BUT cannot wear as I have a high instep and the top strap dug into my ankle/shin area. Would have given 5 stars in all categories otherwise.

I normally wear size 6.5 US (37EU), but upon trying on 38 at the store, I decided to order 38 to have some room in the back instead of tight fit. I put the straps tightly and it fit perfectly snug.

As a first time Berkinstock wearer, these are excellent!
I am always a Women’s size 11, but I had to order a size 10, because as other reviewers said, these do run large. This surprised me because I am never a 10, but the size 10 fits me perfectly.
These DO need to be broken in gradually before wearing. I have been wearing them around my house for a few days now to break them in, and they are slowly forming to my foot. They aren’t uncomfortable out of the box for me, but I could never wear them all day yet, as they aren’t broken in the whole way at this point. I haven’t had any issues with major pain or blisters from wearing them yet. I did some research on this before purchasing, so I suggest anyone else new to Berks also research this before buying.
The support these shoes offer, as well as being very sturdy and well-made, I believe make them worth the price tag. I don’t regret buying these, even though I don’t normally spend over $50 on shoes.

I previously wrote a review that the sole was coming unglued within the first couple of weeks of wear but wanted to follow up with the great customer service I received! I spoke to the CS team and they were able to process an exchange for the defective sandal on the same day, no questions asked!
My account was credited and I was able to apply the amount towards a new pair of the same sandal. Everything was made quick and easy! Reasons like this that keep me coming back to Zappos!

Love everything about this shoe. Wear them to work almost daily! Takes a few days to break them in but once they’re broken in they’re the most comfortable shoe I’ve owned.

The thing about Birkenstocks for those new to them is that you must get the right size or the bones of your feet will let you know it. I wear Clark Treks (or dress shoes) in 9 1/2, Adidas Superstars in 10, Nike Air Force 10, Cons 9 and a B or C width. I bought the Milanos/Arizonas in 42N. Toes hit the front bar when walking and my right metatarsal felt off. The straps were like in the wrong position (either too tight or foot slipping sideways loose w/no secure feel, as I tried to adjust). I gave them to charity and bought the 43N Arizonas. Perfect, cradling, hugging, non-squeezing, non-slipping fit w/the top strap near the ankle and the bottom at the break of the toes. No break in. Sizing (Euro to US equivalent) they give will probably seem like you’re going up one +, but not in fit. Allow 1/4-3/8″ toes to bar and heel to bar space. Birks don’t come in 1/2 sizes, so I needed to buy for the Adidas 10s not the Clarks 9 1/2. Perfect if done right; painful if not especially w/the hard traditional footbed. Birko-flor wears great and looks great and saves some critters.

Normally wear 9-9.5 or 42, had to order the next size down, 41. Material is comfortable, but the shoe will need some breaking in. Not sure if I feel awesome wearing them, they are sandals and they make look like an old hippie, which i guess is okay. Strangely I have also started listening to the Grateful Dead which I never used to listen to, and I have to admit the music is comforting, much like these sandals, albeit a bit noodley at times, the music not the sandals.

I ordered this same pair in the original footbed as well just to compare. They look identical but these ones with the soft footbed were noticeably more comfortable right out of the box. Given that, I will keep these ones 🙂 The black strap and black buckle look very sleek!
I am a true size 7 in most shoes but ordered a 37 (6.-6.5) in these per other reviews and they’re perfect. If you’re not familiar with Birkenstock’s, definitely order a size down!

I absolutely love these shoes! These Arizona’s are my second pair of Birkenstock’s & are worth every penny. I can wear them all day, every day without complaint. The comfort level is 10/10. If you’re new to Birkenstock’s, I recommend either going to a store to try them on first, or printing out their size. I’m normally a 6.5 in other shoes, but a 5 in Birkenstock’s.

The fit and feel of these shoes is wonderful. However, and importantly, the heels are fraying where your foot sits–I’m so surprised as I’ve worn Birks for years and these just don’t cut it due to that. Perhaps I had a defective pair?? Very disappointed. I’ve only had these a relatively short time.

The fit/size was great. The arch support takes a little time to get used to if you have flat feet like I do. The over the top strap feels nice and soft. My feet feel very supported.
