I was a little hesitant to buy the Birkibuc because it has a man-made upper rather than a leather one. I am pleasantly surprised with the quality of the material. I would definitely order the Birkibuc again. In fact, it’s hard to tell they are not leather unless I place them side by side with my leather Birkenstocks. The footbed and the sole are the same as regular Birkenstocks. As usual, Zappos sent them to me with lightening speed.

Birkies were first recommended to me by a podiatrist because I was having trouble with a foot damaged by surgery. I went to a local store to determine the right size, but then I bought them from Zappos because the price was better. I’ve tried several styles, but the Arizona is my favorite. Because they are the most comfortable footwear I own, I wear them in the house year round and anywhere else I can, especially when I’m going to be on my feet a lot. The footbed gives wonderful support that makes my “bad” foot actually feel as good as the other one. A fabulous sandal!

I have owned Birkenstock sandals for years. They are comfortable, durable and good for plantar fasciitis, arthritis, etc. In this warm climate, I wear them year round. Zappos’ price is always better than I can find retail and the free shipping helps, too! No, they’re not glamorous or fancy but they work for me.

I wore Birkenstock sandals in the ’60s, Then in the ’80s. They have always been the most comfortable foot attire. I have once again returned to Birks an will never stray again! My feet thank me daily. Zappos has been the best firm I have dealt with in my life. The scale used to rate companies would have to be rewritten to adequately score such a fine company. I returned Arizonas that didn’t fit well and received replacements the next day! Unbelievable! Customer service was pleasant and concerned about my happiness. I am pleased and will only shop at Zappos for items that they carry. Go Zappos!

I bought these with the idea that they would be made with a 100% leather foot strap – as I knew a Birkenstock should be made and even assumed that that was the deal when I started wearing them. After a few days I noticed, they barely have any leather on them at all! There is a thin layer of that cheap leather that a bad couch is made of over felt. I am really disappointed with this cheap quality when ordering Birkenstocks.

This is my second pair of Birkenstocks (first was the Mayari style) and they’re great! I had to exchange them a few times to get the sizing right. They do run true to size (there’s supposed to be a little room in front and back), but the “regular” width is pretty wide. If you have a regular width foot, you may prefer narrow like I did. See my photos for comparison of the two widths. (In the photo of them on my feet, left is narrow and right is regular.) I did feel that the regular width was roomier and my foot felt more “free”, but I liked the look of the narrow shoe better. I suggest ordering both widths to see which fits your foot better. If this will be your first pair of Birkenstocks, try your regular size and a smaller size too, I’ve seen that some people prefer a tighter fit. I’m usually an 8/8.5 and the 39 is perfect. The 38 fit but my toes were right up against the front of the shoe, which wasn’t comfortable for me. The Stone is a great neutral color and I love the copper color of the buckles!

I purchased these sandals in May of 2019, and while supremely comfortable and supportive, have found the quality to be lacking. Just today, I noticed the cork splitting at the front of both sandals. I’ve owned Birks in the past and have never, ever had this happen. Not sure if I got a defective pair or if the quality overall has gone down. Hoping that maybe I will be allowed an exchange as I really expected more than 4 months of wear out of these shoes.

If you are a half size – get the size below. I.e. I am a 7.5 to an 8…usually wear an 8. Should be a 39 in Burks but I got a 38. Fit perfect. Love them!

These shoes began to fail at month 1 after purchase. Cork soles began to crack, split, and loose material shorty after purchasing. The rubber bottom is nearly worn through after only 2 months of wear. The suede type of foot bed never seems to dry from the last time you wore them. Birks are not the same anymore. How can I have pair that is 12 yrs old with no issues and this pair Falls apart only weeks after purchasing. I recommend another brand that you can get your money out of. Oh and by the way Birkenstock corporate said all they could do is recommend a repair shop because they have no warrantees on their shoes.

I’m usually an 8.5 – the 39 (8/8.5 in USA) fits PERFECTLY! They formed to my feet without any issues and they are so comfy and supportive for my feet! These are definitely sandals worth paying a little more for.

I bought this pair with the intention of wearing with socks and to allow my feet room to spread out. I have only worn them once but they are comfortable and I am able to adjust them to wear without socks. The foot bed has nice support for the arch. The color is neutral enough to be worn with anything.

My family loves Birks! That’s what we all wear all summer. A variety of styles and materials but 100% Birks. This specific pair however was faulty. The cork cracked AND the sides came unattached within a few months of wear. Very disappointing but not normal of Birks. Not sure what the issue was but wanted to share in the event it may help it be improved. Zappos is the BEST!

Love Birkenstocks, I bought these to replace a pair I bought 7 years ago and worn a ton. They held up so well. I bought these in my normal Birkenstock size 39, which equals a 9 for me.
